ABOUT EFDB
HISTORY:
Edmonton Fellowship of the Deaf Blind was incorporated in November 2010. We came together to unite with each other as a community, to gain independence, to provide services to the Deaf Blind members, encourage advocacy and to spread knowledge on Deaf Blindness to outside communities. We have offered social events, workshops and workshops for professional
development of intervenors. Our fellowship is made up of Deaf, Deaf-Blind, Blind individuals and our Allies. We are governed by a volunteer board of directors and are a registered charity. We rely on the generosity of our volunteers and allies for both time commitments and donations. We are at an exciting time in the growth and development of EFDB. We are now able to pay our intervenors for EFDB events. With the addition of a full time administrative assistant we will be able to add even more services and expand our community awareness activities.
